desire to win

When you make friends with fear, it can’t rule you.

--Anne Lamott

When you recognize that it isn’t an enemy, but an opportunity for learning and growth, you stop putting your life on hold.

When you acknowledge the fear but do that the thing that feels scary anyway, you find you possess an inner strength that you never knew existed.

You gain a sense of confidence and hope. And you realize that you had it in you all along. You realize that you’re capable and competent and good enough. And you discover that the only thing standing in your way was you and the fear that you wouldn’t make it. So don’t give up.

If you quit when things get dark and difficult, you will never find your way into the light. It’s okay to be scared. It’s okay to feel lost and uncertain. No one’s journey is perfect. Everyone’s path is strewn with obstacles and road blocks.

The people who heal and find their way to happiness are the people who don’t give up. So be patient with yourself and your process. And know that if you continue to pick yourself back up, no matter how many times you fall, you will make it~
